OUR HISTORY

The origin of the Foundation

The Chairman Hon. Malulu Injendi, was inspired to establish this foundation following his experience as a young boy, having lost his father who was a chief at the tender age of 10 years. He faced numerous challenges being raised by a widow with no source of income. His education was the most challenging aspect of his early life since he mostly depended on the community for assistance through harambees. Upon his employment in 1996, he began by helping bright vulnerable secondary school students by paying their fees from his salary. School principals were instrumental in identifying the needy cases hence this help was dubbed “Malulu Bursary”, which became very popular in schools. Currently, as a Member of Parliament, he has encountered many people seeking different forms of support from him. With the help of the Constituency Development Fund (CDF), he has managed to address some of the issues arising but this kitty is limited to specific areas of support hence leaving out many vulnerable people unattended to. The establishment of this foundation is to complement the services that the CDF cannot accomplish, hence the improvement of quality of life for all.
